No matter what you want or desire, where you are or what is happening or has happened, you can continue to wipe the slate and write the script - again and again

Wake Up in the morning, be like, ‘New Day - New Script - and I’m only carrying with me the Essence of the bits that serve the script I’m writing’.

Because YES, we get to be (and we have to be) realistic about our history, where we are and what’s happening around us, but we also get to CHOOSE how we will utilise every possibility, every opportunity, and how we want to experience our lives.

I like to think of this as Living my Best Avatar Life -

And my Best Avatar Life is all about the feeling, the moment AND the trajectory; Being and betterment. By my choices now and my aspirations for future now’s, combined with my values and desires, I set the tone for how I want to experience each moment and each chapter of ‘the book of my life’

Now, consider this, when you are reading a great book, you (hopefully) learn to love the main character - even if it wasn’t instant, and you begin to root for this little bean, you want them to do well, and you want to EXPERIENCE their enjoyment, in the little things as well as in the exhilaration of the bigger things (all action stories with no plot are boring - we still crave sentience, compassion, connection, understanding - they are the things that give our hero’s and heroines value to us).

You want them to overcome their obstacles and challenges and you’re shouting at the screen and pages with enthusiasm and encouragement. Even when you don’t like their choices, or something you never expected pops up and is like ‘plot twist’.

Now imagine you’re also the writer, in this live story, and there are many other factors to consider and navigate, but each day you wake up with the pen. Some seasons you write a blockbuster, other seasons it’s kind of like props to you for getting out of bed - even if you’re ink barely touched the page.

This paradox of being the writer and experiencer, the artist and the muse, is the dance of our lives, and in the ebbs and flow, we are creating a rich tapestry of experience. The highs and lows the varied hues; they all contrast to give us beauty.

And within all of it we get to keep choosing, creating, painting, napping, wiping the slate and starting again learning over the course of this epic journey to create story and a character we love and honour day by day.
